Description:
Wireless network and mobile computing are important for computer networks and information systems. The objective of this course is to provide an in-depth understanding of the fundamental problems in the area of wireless network and mobile computing. Important topics include: the principle of wireless network and mobile computing, introduction of modern wireless networks, networking and mobility issues, cellular network, wireless LAN, routing, location and localization, mobility tracking, location-aware information services, security and privacy, newly-emerged techniques and applications, etc. After the studying, the student are required to well know the principles and architecture of wireless networks mobile computing, to be familiar with the mainstream technologies of wireless networks and mobile computing, to understand major challenges of wireless network and mobile computing, to study existing solutions for these problems from both the research and development perspective, and to achieve the ability of pursuing innovative solutions for wireless network and mobile computing.
